Fashion Can Wait

Most of you who know me, are well aware of where I have been for the last couple of weeks. For those of you who don't, I am writing this post with a very heavy heart. My life was forever changed on Oct. 18th, when  Julie Mott, my best friend of 45 years, passed away unexpectedly of a brain hemorrhage. She was an extraordinary person who I had the privilege of walking through this life with. She was my biggest fan, and the one who encouraged me to stop procrastinating and start blogging. We have been besties since we were 6 months old and I have never known my life without her.

We were life long buddies who had a passion for fashion, beauty, and of course all things 80's and especially our favorite band, Duran Duran. As Julie wrote in one of the many notes I saved from our high school days, a friendship like ours comes a long once in a "New Moon On Monday"(all of you Duran Duran fans will get that).

Posting outfits and writing about fashion and beauty, doesn't mean much to me right now, but I won't quit blogging, Julie would never want that, and I would never want to, because it has been one of my dreams to have a fashion blog. However, it is going to take some time to get adjusted to life without my biggest cheerleader.

I enjoyed every minute of my friendship with Julie and I encourage you all to reflect on and nurture each and every one of your treasured relationships, because life is way too short.
There is no doubt that I will be inspired to blog again, but until then... fashion can wait.
