It was a harsh winter to say the least, and I am so happy that summer has finally arrived (we kind of skipped spring this year) Seriously though, the weather, this year in particular, has really reeked havoc on my skin, and I have been on the hunt for products that will protect, hydrate, and keep my skin looking and feeling good all day, as we move into the warmer months.
I discovered the Perf-ékt beauty line purely by accident, when I popped into Ulta for a few staples, and was approached by Suzie Q Rigante,(love her!) the National education and events manager for the brand. She asked If she could refresh my makeup (Was my winter doldrum skin that obvious?). There are so many things that I love about this line, but the most important to me, is that I saw instant results, and seeing is believing. As soon as Suzie applied the skin perfection gel to my face, my skin immediately felt smoother and looked brighter. I was sold!
Every tanning other product I have tried has either turned my orange, or has been so streaky that I look like a freshly stained piece of furniture (not a good look). I have very fair skin and several imperfections, so I was looking for a product that was going to diminish those imperfections, but also give me a natural tan. I have a condition called "chicken skin"- tiny little red dots on my legs and the back of my arms, kind of resembling chicken skin (hence the name.) I got made fun of a lot in middle school, which resulted in me being very self conscious of my skin pretty much all of my life, and it was only just a couple of years ago, when I decided to embrace my fair skin, flaws and all, and now, thanks to the the body perfection gel/tan, I can wear all of the shorts, and cute dresses I want this summer!
The entire Per-fékt line is amazing , but there is one product in particular that I love. The Body perfection gel/tan is hands down the best "one size fits all" tanning product I have come across in my search. It's one of the easiest products to use, and it doubles as a moisturizer that smooths and tones with no smell, no streaking, no waiting for it to dry, no transfer (I can literally put my clothes on right after applying it) and the results are, Perf-éktion! My skin has a sun kissed glow, my flaws are diminished, and it leaves my skin looking and feeling silky and smooth. It does not disappoint. Trust me, you will be addicted!
