Time

Time...... We never seem to have enough of it, do we? Recently a friend asked me, have you posted anything on your blog lately, or did I just miss it?  My response : "Work and my personal life are so busy, that I just haven't had the time." Then... the guilt sets in. Maybe I do have the time, and just need to manage it better. Could I be spending less time on social media (guilty) and more time blogging? Probably! Do I love spending time with family and friends? Yes! Do I want to spend more time sowing into peoples lives in person, rather than sitting in front of a computer? Yes! Do I love fashion, writing and blogging? Yes!!! Do you see my predicament? How do I combine all of the things I love to do into one God driven purpose? I have so many questions, and that's where God comes in. 

Confusion is not from God, so I decided to turn to the bible for some direction and found a scripture that really spoke to me. Proverbs 16:3 Commit to Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Pretty simple right? God will guide my steps, but I have to first put in the effort and eliminate distractions and procrastination, and focus on what he wants for my life, and most of all, try very hard not to waste one minute on negativity, and the things that are not moving me towards my dreams and goals.

Whether you are seeing your dreams come to fruition now, or you're still trying to figure it all out, God has a plan for you, and It's just a matter of putting that plan into action and by taking the time to listen to that still small voice ( there may be some waiting involved, so be patient), taking the time talk to God (he loves it when his kids talk to him), and taking the time to enjoy every minute of the journey he has you on. Our lives are a gift from God, and what we do with them, is our gift back to him.
