Happy Birthday Fabreview!!

Today is my blog's first birthday! Well, I should say, our blog because Fabreview wouldn't exist without you, my beautiful Fab family. It has been a challenging year, both emotionally and physically for me, and with God's strength, and all of your love, encouragement and support, here we are!

The two white balloons represent two very important people, that are no longer with us. My best friend, and my grandmother. Growing up, Julie and I were the dynamic duo, and a force to be reckoned with!  She designed my logo and encouraged me, to be the best me I could be, and I knew, with her by my side, I could take on the world! Nanny was my biggest fashion influence. She was classy, witty and refused to wear "dungarees". The word "can't" was not in her vocabulary, and she believed I could do anything! I miss them everyday, but I am stronger, knowing they are watching over me from heaven. I will continue to make them proud.

I also want to give a very special thank you to my family, for their encouragement, support and endless conversations about fashion. Especially my brother Mark, a very talented web designer, and owner of DigitalKick.com, who sacrificed eight hours one Saturday afternoon, to walk his technically challenged big sister through the process of creating a blog. He never once lost his patience. Even now, when I am having technical challenges, he takes a look at it, and says, don't worry sis, it's no biggie! Love him!

Next up, I would like to thank Aubrey Kinch of Aubrey Kinch Design Studio. She is responsible for Fabreview's new and improved look. Not only is she a talented web designer, and fashion blogger (with the patience of a saint), she is also a beautiful person, and I am so blessed that I was able to work with her. Thanks Aubrey! You're the best!

I saved the best for last. My husband, who is my best friend, the love of my life, and also happens to be my photographer! He works 80-100 hours a week but still finds the time to take photos of me. He has a great eye ( he got that from his mom: a professional photographer) and the best part of all, he doesn't charge me. He is my biggest cheerleader, and when I start doubting myself or comparing myself to others, he gives me a great pep talk, and tells me to go out there and get 'em!

So, Happy Birthday Fabreview, and a big thank you to all of you who have been on this journey with me. I really mean it when I say, I couldn't have done any of this without YOU, and I am excited to see what this next year will bring, and I hope you are too!

Congratulations on living your dream!! People may think it's easy, what they don't realize is the amount of work and sacrifice involved. Following your blog for the past few months not only shows your great taste, but your commitment to your friends and family. I wish I lived closer to you, I'd have loved the chance to work with a person of your vision.
