For me, one of the best parts of starting this fashion blog, has been all of the amazing women I have met over the last year. These women are strong, empowering, encouraging, and know exactly what they are wearing every step of the way, and Courtney Kerr is no exception! With two T.V. shows under her belt, a successful fashion blog, "What Courtney Wore", several partnerships with name brands such as The Outnet, Gorjana and Griffin, Bauble Bar, C.Wonder, CUSP for Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, to name a few. Oh, and did I mention, she is also a Morning talk show host for "The Broadcast"which airs on one of Dallas' top T.V. stations, KTXD-TV. Don't mess with Texas y'all!!!
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet Courtney, at Macy's, where she was hosting The Bar III Fashion Show. A fun time was had by all, as D.J. Excel mixed some"sweet beats" (I'm such a nerd), as Courtney explained how to take each of her styled looks, from "cube2club"or, for us older folk, from day to evening. I loved the fact that there was one common element running through each outfit, yet the looks were still uniquely different, and could easily be changed, just by switching out the accessories or shoes. She did a great job showcasing this chic, wearable, and best of all, reasonably priced collection. You will definitely see more posts from me about Bar III. Hey! That Rhymed!
It may sound corny, but I left that event, believing I could do anything, and dreaming of the day when a big name brand asks me to collaborate with them to create my own shoe or jewelry line. Ummm.....Yes please!!!!!
What will inspire you to pursue your dreams? A person, a place an outfit(stranger things have happened). The most important thing to remember is to enjoy the journey.
